About
A restored 1920 movie palace in downtown Loveland, run by the city as a performing arts venue for concerts, theater, film screenings and community events.
The Rialto opened on Fourth Street in 1920 as a silent-film house, and the local paper called it the finest theater north of Denver. It closed in 1977 and spent years as a mini-mall. It was then restored to its original look and reopened in 1996. The City of Loveland has run it since 1998, and it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The calendar mixes touring musicians, local theater and opera productions, film events like Mountainfilm on Tour, and community gatherings. Buy tickets at the box office or online through the Rialto's website. Downtown restaurants are a short walk away, so dinner and a show is easy.
