A 64-acre city park in west Loveland with an adventure playground featuring a climbing wall, treehouse, stream and seasonal waterfall, plus a skate park and courts.
Mehaffey Park covers 64 acres on Loveland's west side. For kids, the main draw is the adventure playground, which has a climbing wall, a treehouse, slides, swings, and a stream crossed by small bridges.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, a waterfall in the playground runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., cycling 10 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Older kids can use the skate park, basketball court, and tennis and pickleball courts. There are also separate dog park areas for small dogs and for all dogs. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with entrances on West 29th Street and West 22nd Street.
