Dark Heart Coffee Bar

Dark Heart Coffee Bar opened in 2018 on North Jefferson Avenue in downtown Loveland. Owners Allison and Justin Real also run a custom furniture and fabrication company, and they built much of the space themselves, from the structural steel and zinc bar to the charred-wood accent wall.

The coffee comes mainly from Portland's Coava Coffee Roasters, and guest roasters rotate through as pour-over and drip. Nitro cold brew and kombucha are on tap. Regulars like the big butter croissants, the avocado toast and the matcha drinks. There's a back patio for warm days. The shop is open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
